Company
History
JEP was founded in its embryonic form by Joyce Ellen
Price (JEP) with her Husband Bill Price in September 1981 as a freight Forwarding
company based in Stratford East London.
In 1985 Joyce was awarded the freedom of the city of London for her contributions
to local business enterprise.
Running from offices above a School, they equipped them selves with
all the office mod cons including electric type writers and telex machines.
This was state of the art technology back in 1981, as a company we have
endeavoured to take the advice laid down by Joyce to equip our selves with
all the necessary tools to do the job 100%. After their initial success
they progressed to a haulage company in their own right, with a small fleet
of vehicles. They expanded over the next couple of years and one of their
three sons came on board.
After numerous customers
requested them to move safes for which most large removal companies stayed
well clear of due to the amount of skill and training required by the workforce.
JEP's first move was to recruit and then train a workforce capable of the
above. The next problem was to gather together the specialist vehicles and
numerous pieces of equipment needed for such tasks.
Keeping up the tradition
of being a family run concern, the managing director and technical director
are both sons of the founders Mr & Mrs Price. They both come from very
different back grounds, one of which had a very successful career working
for one of the worlds largest banks and the other an engineer based in the
telecommunications industry.
